GHUNGROO

This painting carries the very true Indian essence in itself. A girl is shown resting on the floor after a heavy dance performance of Kathak. Kathak is a very traditional and a preserved dance form mainly practiced in North India. The Kathak dancers are known for their authenticity and pious behaviour. They are very gentle and are extremely cautious of the way they speak, walk and talk and even rest.

Why I drew this?

Whatever i paint, I paint it for myself. I become with the painting and painting turns out to be wonderfull.

Who inspired you?

I went to see a Kathak performance and i was so mesmerized by the personalities of the dancers that i captured each frame in my mind that i could paint when i reach home.
